Breaking out of the perceptions of a play style can be really tough, I remember it making BRK 'revolutionary' because he was proving the 'haters' wrong at the time. Now, as a non-warlock the 'Soul Burn' mechanic sounds pretty fun. Also, I agree with you on the whole 'being limited to a school' thing. Elemental DPS is based around Lightning and Fire and -that is it-. I'd love to see us using Frost Shock or another frost spell as more than just a movement filler, and I agree with you that the schools of magic that a class uses should be utilised equally by all the trees.
